Your Questions, Answered

  • Therapy can be helpful if you’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or unsure how to move forward. You don’t need to be in crisis or have everything figured out before reaching out.

Many people come to therapy because something in their life or relationships feels harder than it needs to be. Therapy offers a space to better understand what you’re carrying, explore patterns that may be getting in the way, and begin creating meaningful change.

  • The first session is a chance for your therapist to get to know you, understand what brings you to therapy, and learn more about your history, current concerns, and goals.

You do not need to know exactly what to say. We’ll guide the conversation at a pace that feels comfortable and help you begin to make sense of what you’re experiencing. It’s also a time for you to get a feel for your therapist and ask any questions about the process.

  • No. Many people begin therapy with only a general sense that something feels off, overwhelming, or hard to navigate.

You may know you feel anxious, disconnected, resentful, stuck, or not quite like yourself, but not know exactly why. Part of the work of therapy is slowing down, identifying what’s going on, and clarifying what kind of support or change would feel most helpful.

  • Our approach is warm, relational, collaborative, and insight-oriented. We believe meaningful change happens when you feel genuinely understood, supported, and thoughtfully challenged.

We tailor therapy to each client, drawing from evidence-based and research-informed approaches including psychodynamic therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based practices, EMDR, Gottman-informed couples work, and relational therapy. Our goal is to help you better understand yourself, strengthen your relationships, and feel more grounded and connected in your daily life.

  • We work with individuals, couples, teens, and parents navigating a wide range of emotional and relational challenges.

Our clients often come to therapy for support with anxiety, high-functioning stress, burnout, perfectionism, relationship issues, communication challenges, parenting stress, life transitions, trauma, grief, self-worth, boundaries, and people-pleasing.

Many of our clients appear to be managing well on the outside but feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected internally.

  • Therapy is tailored to the needs of each client or relationship.

Couples therapy can help partners improve communication, navigate conflict, rebuild connection, and better understand the patterns shaping their relationship.

Teen therapy offers support around anxiety, identity, self-worth, school stress, family dynamics, and emotional regulation.

Parent support can help with parenting stress, single parenting, co-parenting, major transitions, and feeling more grounded in the parent-child relationship.

  • Yes. Some of our clinicians offer EMDR therapy, which is often used to support clients working through trauma, distressing memories, anxiety, and painful life experiences.

EMDR can help clients process experiences that may feel stuck or continue to affect how they feel, respond, or relate in the present. During your consultation, we can help determine whether EMDR may be an appropriate fit for your goals.

  • Yes. Beck Therapy Group offers both in-person and virtual therapy sessions, depending on the clinician, availability, and your needs.

Virtual therapy allows clients to meet from the comfort of their own space, while in-person sessions may be available for those who prefer to meet face-to-face. During your consultation, we can help you determine what format feels like the best fit.

  • Fees vary depending on the clinician and type of session. Beck Therapy Group is an out-of-network/private pay practice, and we can provide superbills for clients who wish to seek reimbursement through their insurance plan.

We also offer a limited number of sliding scale spots based on availability and financial need. We’re happy to discuss fees, payment, and any available options during your consultation.
