Founder
Melissa “Missy” Beck is the founder of Beck Therapy Group and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in Los Angeles. She created the practice from the belief that therapy should be more than a place to manage symptoms — it should be a space where clients feel deeply understood, thoughtfully challenged, and guided toward meaningful, lasting change.'
Missy works with individuals and couples who may appear high-functioning on the outside but feel anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure how to move forward internally. Many of her clients are navigating relationship challenges, communication issues, life transitions, self-doubt, or recurring patterns that continue to show up despite their best efforts to change.
Her approach is relational, insight-oriented, and collaborative. In therapy, Missy helps clients slow down, make sense of what feels hard, and better understand the emotional patterns, protective strategies, and relational dynamics shaping their lives. Her work draws from psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness-based, EMDR, and Gottman-informed approaches, always tailored to each client’s needs and goals.
Clients often appreciate Missy’s ability to be both compassionate and direct. She brings honesty, presence, and real engagement into the therapy room, helping clients feel less alone in what they are carrying and more able to connect with themselves and the people who matter most.
As the founder of Beck Therapy Group, Missy is committed to creating a practice where clients and clinicians feel supported, respected, and known. Her leadership is grounded in clinical depth, thoughtful care, and the belief that good therapy begins with a strong, trusting relationship.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Missy continues to call LA home. Outside of her work as a therapist and practice founder, her greatest joy is being a mother to her young son. She also enjoys yoga, live music, good food, and finding moments of deep connection, creativity, and balance in everyday life.My Education

Ariel offers a steady, compassionate, and grounded approach to therapy. She works with individuals, couples, parents, and teens navigating anxiety, overwhelm, burnout, trauma, attachment wounds, relationship struggles, parenting stress, divorce recovery, and major life transitions.
She has a particular interest in supporting clients through complicated relational experiences, including partners of addicts or narcissistic individuals, those healing from painful relationship dynamics, and parents or single parents carrying the emotional weight of caregiving.
In therapy, Ariel helps clients tend to what feels most pressing while also making room to understand the deeper roots of their pain. Her work supports clients in building tools for relief, emotional steadiness, and healthier connection — while exploring the past experiences, relationship patterns, and internal beliefs that may be influencing the present.
Ariel brings presence, intuition, and real-life understanding into the room. Clients can expect a space that feels supportive, honest, and attuned, where they can feel less alone in what they are carrying and more capable of taking meaningful steps forward.
Outside of her work as a therapist, Ariel enjoys traveling, hiking, exploring local restaurants, and saying yes to a good weekend adventure. She and her partner share a full and active blended family life with five children, an experience that continues to shape her warmth, perspective, and appreciation for the complexity of relationships.

Pete brings an intuitive, collaborative, and highly engaged approach to therapy. He supports teens, adults, couples, creative individuals, and new parents as they work through relationship challenges, questions of identity and purpose, emotional reactivity, self-doubt, and major life transitions.
His approach is integrative, focusing on what is happening in your life now, while also exploring how earlier experiences have helped shape current patterns. Pete helps clients better understand the thoughts and emotions that may be getting in the way of feeling more grounded, confident, and connected.
Pete’s style is compassionate, direct, and practical. He listens closely to help clients recognize patterns of thinking, feeling, or relating that may be limiting their growth. He helps clients move from reactivity, disconnection, or uncertainty toward greater awareness, emotional steadiness, and trust.
Before becoming a therapist, he spent twelve years as a K–12 educator, where he developed a deep understanding of family dynamics, attachment-related distress, and the challenges young people and families face through different stages of life.
His goal is to create a safe, supportive, and honest space where clients can explore what they are feeling, understand the patterns that may be holding them back, and build practical skills that support meaningful change in everyday life.
Originally from Melbourne, Australia, Pete moved to Los Angeles in 2014 after a five-year stopover in New York City. Outside of the therapy room, he enjoys playing basketball, writing, filmmaking, and baking cupcakes with his daughters.
